Vicente Moreno has commented on his team's positive attitude
The RCD Espanyol coach, Vicente Moreno, was very pleased with his team's performance in its decisive win over Albacete. "I'm very happy. Beyond the scoreline, what I noticed was a desire to do things properly in my team. My congratulations go to all of the people who make up the Espanyol team. This win helps us to start again on a clean sheet", said the coach.
After achieving a win in his first outing with the team, Moreno also had a few words for the fans: "We really feel and appreciate the support of our people. All the players are very grateful to our fans. This win goes out to them. It's an important win in order to make a fresh start and put the painful memories of the last season behind us. But there's a long road ahead: 42 games, and we're hoping that everyone will give it their all."
“In the first game, more than anything, you always want to win, and we've managed to do that. And getting a result like today in the second half is even harder, especially when the other scorelines have been much closer. I'm really happy because, beyond the final scoreline, I saw a team that was determined do things properly; they gave it everything and you can't ask for more than that. That's the most important thing. We may have won today, but we have a really tough season ahead of us", he insisted.
