González: "We have to go all-out at home"
The coach previews the game against CD Leganés
Manolo González has shown his conviction that the work done over the last few weeks should bring RCD Espanyol back to their best form. The coach acknowledged that “we have trained very well” and highlighted “the very positive attitude” of his players and the desire “to do a good job tomorrow against CD Leganés" in his pre-match press conference.
The coach stressed that “the fans are always behind us, but we also have to offer them a competitive showing. We have to go all-out at home."
He has also underlined that this match “is not a final."
"It comes against a direct rival. The fans will be motivated and we have to repay them for this on the field, competing like beasts. The players are convinced that we can get through this, and I am confident that they will compete well."
"Leganés do things at a very high level. They are a tough, difficult side, but we have to give it our best and win the game.”
González also explained that the club are still working “on looking at the options for the winter transfer window” and acknowledged that the signing of Pablo Ramón was finalised after “having followed him for a long time and thinking that he is a player for the future who can give us a lot of versatility.”
