Pedrosa to undergo surgery on Thursday

The player will be treated for pubalgia at a clinic in London

Adrián Pedrosa will undergo surgery to treat pubalgia this Thursday at a London clinic. The defender has been experiencing frequent discomfort during the last two seasons and, finally, after assessing his options with RCD Espanyol medical staff, he decided on the operation.

To date, a conservative treatment plan had been followed, but after analysing the situation, both the player and the club's medical services came to the conclusion that the best way forward would be a surgical procedure.

Following the operation, the speed of Pedrosa's recovery will dictate his return to normal training.
