Ramón: "I want to make the most of this opportunity"
The new signing speaks on his move to RCD Espanyol
The first signing for RCD Espanyol in the winter transfer window, Pablo Ramón spoke on Friday at his official presentation, explaining that the move had been in the works for a while.
“We have been talking with the club for a long time and finally the moment has arrived for me to join,” explained the new arrival.
Ramón explained that it is “a big step up” after playing last season on loan at Mirandés, but added that “I want to take advantage of the opportunity, bring joy, leave my mark on the club and give everything for them.”
A young centre-back who already has experience in professional football, he recognises that he hopes to “learn and improve” at Espanyol.
“I have teammates with a lot of experience in LaLiga and I am sure they will help me and I will learn from them,” he emphasised.
Ramón will have to wait to make his official debut, due to an injury, although he explains that “my recovery is going well. I am doing work on the pitch and I hope, little by little, to join up with the team. Everything is going well and I hope to be at the top level soon to return to 100 percent. It is a very long injury and you have to be patient. The timeframe of this injury is clear and you have to work calmly so that the reward comes in the end.”
Finally, he said that RCD Espanyol will achieve the objective of staying up.
“When you make the jump to the Primera División it is always difficult. The team fight, work hard and the results will end up coming. You have to be able to suffer and I am confident that we can get through this situation.”
