Puado: "There is a great desire to start 2025 at full speed"

The striker talks ahead of the new year

Javi Puado, one of the RCD Espanyol captains, spoke about a rollercoaster 2024 in his final interview before the end of the year.

“We have to be self-critical, but also positive,” he explained. “There is a great desire to start 2025 at full speed, and we need to take things a step further. We already said that before Christmas, so we have to start the year as best as possible”.

On the winter break, he commented that “these days off are good for being with the family and helping to clear your head, but we also remember what we have to do in 2025 if we want to stay in the Primera División. That has to be achieved, no matter what.”

Puado remembers 2024 as “unforgettable. We struggled through it, but we got promoted. It was very exciting to achieve it on at home, in front of our fans. However, in this second part of the year we are finding things tougher. We have to be positive, push the team forward and look ahead.”
