Martinez: "The team showed what a great group they are"

The coach reacts to the 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo

Diego Martínez talked after his side fought back for a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo, praising the players for their belief and desire.

“You have to believe. To create you have to believe, and this team believes beyond any difficulties," he told the media in his post-match press conference.

“Today we could have left here with a defeat, but the team showed values that highlight what a great group they are. The match became very difficult and we found solutions against opposition who have been playing together for a long time. When they made it 2-0 it was very difficult for us to get a positive result. I think the team started the match very well, including Darder's shot that hit the post, and it's something to be proud of," he insisted.

The coach underlined that “the team gave everything they had. Everyone knows that we are a team that is yet to be fully built, and that we are incomplete. Beyond the room for improvement, I think there is one thing that is fundamental: This team cannot give up, we must always stand up and be counted, we must always be competitive and not want to give up on a game."
