"With the five senses"
Javi López believes that the team must go to Malaga with the idea of adding points to get even closer to salvation
Javi López believes the team has to keep the same tone shown in recent weeks against Malaga. The Andalusian defense said that the squad of the Costa del Sol "is very strong in his field" and said that "we must be very compact and with the attitude and mentality of the last month and a half. It will be a difficult game. We'll have to go with the five senses to get as close as possible to our goal".
For the white and blue player, "until you get the points you need anything can happen. The most important thing is to go game by game. Get the points as soon as possible because each passing week it gets harder. If we succeed in the coming weeks we will look up but it seems clear that we must get them as soon as possible to avoid problems".
On the possibility that Espanyol uses as from next season again dorsal 21 as captain he explains that "it is delicate to discuss this issue because feelings are mixed with reason. The club has decided to withdraw the dorsal many times but the competent institutions have not left him and that creates is at a disadvantage with other clubs. I think it will be one more way to honour the memory of Daniel Jarque. He is honoured with the Training facilities, with the captain bracelet of all teams, with the minute 21... It is an honour for the player who will use it. More than a pressure it has to be a privilege. It is a decision to be treated with the maximum care possible".
