"We don't feel any type of pressure on us, but we do feel concerned and we are conscious of where we are"
Granero reckons that the sensations have improved but not the results
RCD Espanyol of Barcelona will play again this Sunday against Getafe FC, a rival that Esteban Granero knows well. The midfielder predicts that it will be a difficult match for the white and blue although he is confident that the team will continue in the same line of the last games. Besides, Granero has made it clear that the team does not feel any kind of pressure on them due to the current situation although he is aware of where we are.
"It's always different. Getafe is a team that likes to play in the opposite field and, if we can do it in theirs, they will be uncomfortable. I have the feeling that we deserved more, but it's unfair to talk like that. Feelings are better than results, yes. Does it help a lot? Actually not, but within the dressing room. Giving continuity to what we do and improving certain details we will improve", he said.
The '23' has assured that he prefers to play always at home: "We don't feel like a punishment, but not having won hurts us. We are always asking people to come to the stadium, to cheer and the way is to win the matches. It's not a punishment, but it's a responsibility, but there's nothing like playing at home. People have always responded exceptionally and now even more so.
The midfielder said the team doesn't feel any pressure on them. "Negative pressure, no, responsibility, everybody. All the pressure the situation deserves and the pressure the fans give us. Don't turn responsibility into pressure and be able to perform at the highest level, even with that extra pressure. Granero explained that during this week "we have worked on the aspects that we have been performing well and on those of the next rival, which has particular characteristics". In this sense, he said that "for us these matches have always been finals and this match is another one. It is not how we name it, but what it entails. The commitment, pride and union, which has always been unquestionable, still has to go further. And that players are calm and play as best they know.
