"We can improve a lot"
Javi Lopez said that the team's work is positive and that has improved in different aspects
Espanyol has had to overcome a difficult start in the league in which they have faced several of the best teams in the category. The six points so far obtained however, do not reflect the daily work of the team, as the captain Javi Lopez said. "The team has six points, but it goes further. If we had won Malaga and tied against Celta, we would have three more points and we would’nt talk about this. The group is working well", he said. In this regard, he said that "the most positive thing is that there is much room for improvement. The season has just started. The team has been improving since the league began in different aspects".
For Espanyol’s captain one of the keys is the calm that exists despite the irregular start in the league. "I remember in previous seasons I said we go from one extreme to other. Right now they are building the foundations of a huge project that leads to Espanyol where it deserves. We are on the way to being as strong as possible".
About the more immediate calendar, he said that "any opponent can put you in trouble. Every game is difficult. I do hope that when you finish the season the team is as high as possible. The important classification is the day 38".
