Vinicius de Souza presented as new signing

The Brazilian joins on loan for 2022/23

Vinicius de Souza has become the third signing made by RCD Espanyol in the summer transfer market, joining on a season-long loan from Lommel SK.

In the Brazilian's official presentation, held on Monday, he said that “I have been given a very good welcome and I will always try to give my all here. I'm aware that I have signed for a wonderful club, and I am very motivated. I will give everything."

He added that "when I found out that there was interest from a club like Espanyol, with all of their history, I made my decision. I only think about winning every game. I am here to contribute and to help my team. My main aim is to help."

Club CEO  Mao Ye and Sporting Director Domingo Catoira both attended the presentation, with the latter saying that "There was significant interest and predisposal by the player to participate in this exciting project that we are starting now. We have worked to achieve a difficult signing, but there was a complete willingness for him to make Espanyol his destination for this season.”
