Vidal: " We have a good opportunity to look above us in the table"
The fullback previews the meeting with RCD Mallorca
RCD Espanyol look to build on a draw against Levante last weekend when they play RCD Mallorca this Sunday, and wingback Aleix Vidal spoke about the task ahead in an interview with RCD Espanyol TV.
“We have a good opportunity to look above us in the table, and to do things well to bring joy to our fans," he explained.
Whilst the precedents against Mallorca this season have not been good, Vidal stated that “we don't see it as a chance for revenge,” and added that “we are in the home stretch of the season and we approach each game with the maximum motivation."
"It's a good time to play against Mallorca, and we have always had a special rivalry. They are always tough games, and it will be difficult. In the last stage of the season everything is more difficult; every team is fighting for an objective, and we are too."
"We were excited about the game against Levante, and I think that it was good for us until the final minutes. Now is a good time to make our fans happy. Mallorca are walking wounded, and that is dangerous," Vidal concluded.
