"There is still a long way to go"
Javi Fuego believes that the line of the team is getting better but he insists that "we have to improve more aspects"
The good streak that leads Espanyol has not altered the level of serenity that breathes the first team. Javi Fuego, for example, said that at the beginning of the season, when the results were not good, "we said that the evolution was good. This is being strengthened, but there is still a long way to go before we achieve the team we want to be. Through defensive solvency we have had many options to win matches. The reading is positive, but there is a long way to go, many things to be polished".
The midfielder is convinced that "you have to go game by game. You have to think about Sporting. I can’t think of any other match than this Sunday".
In the same way he insists that "for the line to be upward, we must make ourselves strong at home and add three by three, having the utmost respect for all rivals" and reiterates that the team "must be in evolution throughout the season. We have achieved solvency back and we are achieving goals. We have a good positional attack but we have to prolong it in time. It is one of many pending subjects. A team must improve in all aspects".
He acknowledges that "Sporting is my team because I am Asturian and there I have trained as a person and as a footballer for 15 years. I do not have to fool anyone, but I owe Espanyol and wish Sporting the best, but first of all there is Espanyol".
Finally, the midfielder explained that Chen Yanseng has been in the locker room this morning "and told us that he is very aware of the games and the team and that we have to be ambitious and always improve."
