Tejero: "This break is to assimilate the first four games"
The summer signing talks about the season to date
Espanyol have reached the first international break off a victory against Rayo Vallecano. Speaking during the pause in LaLiga action, Álvaro Tejero talked about the campaign so far.
“This break is a time for a bit for everything: To assimilate what these four games have been like, see the things we have done, both good and the bad. We have to continue working together and make sure that on the return from the break we see what we have in these last two games: A committed team, that fight until the end, that give everything on the pitch and always look to win," he said.
“I have been adapting from the beginning, and I am very happy with the club and with my teammates. I am very comfortable here," Tejero commented.
"The win last week left me with a very good taste in my mouth, because the team had been working well since preseason. We did not have an easy start, but we have recovered now and the victory was very good for all of us."
He also stressed that “we have improved with every game, and this has been reflected in the results. In the first two we did not manage to score, but in the third, at a very difficult ground, the team had a very good game and got a valuable draw. The other day we got three points at home. The team are improving and this should be the way forward.”
