Suárez: "We're looking forward to Saturday"
The midfielder calls on fans to help the side against Celta Vigo at the RCDE Stadium
RCD Espanyol are back at the RCDE Stadium this weekend after two consecutive away games, and are looking for a return to winning ways against Celta Vigo.
For Denis Suárez, the LaLiga Matchday 26 fixture will be a special one: On loan from the Galician side until the end of the season, he will be up against his parent club representing Los Pericos.
Speaking with Espanyol Media during a break in preparations for the encounter, Suárez said that “every game is important -and this one is even more so because we are playing in front of our fas again. In the last game at the RCDE Stadium we beat Mallorca, and we are looking forward to Saturday."
The midfielder made a call to arms to the supporters, who have been helping the team to put in good showings in recent home games.
“I encourage the fans to come along Saturday and to help create a good atmosphere, so that we can go into the international break with a good feeling," he explained.
"We want to sign off before the break feeling calm, and for that to happen we have to beat opponents who that have a very good dynamic going on.”
"We want to remain strong at at home. We have an incredible stadium. The fans are going to be very important between now and the end of the season and we have to engage them with the way that we play," concluded Suárez.
