Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel joins RCD Espanyol

The defender arrives on loan until the end of the season

Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel has signed for RCD Espanyol on loan for the rest of the season.

The French full-back arrives from FSV Mainz 05 and has signed a deal with the Club which runs until 30th June 2023. RCD Espanyol also have the option to buy at the conclusion of the loan spell.

Pierre-Gabriel has enjoyed the majority of his career in his native France, making the switch to Germany and Mainz in 2019 and returning with RC Strasbourg for the first half of the 2022/23 season. He has also played across France for Saint-Étienne, AS Monaco and Brest, while representing his country at youth level in his formative years.

He becomes the second signing of the January transfer window, alongside fellow defender César Montes who joined at the end of last month. Pierre-Gabriel has passed his medical at the Clínica Corachan, and will be presented as an RCD Espanyol player next Monday, 23rd January at 1:30pm CET at the RCDE Stadium.
