Roca: "Winning is a huge joy"

The RCD Espanyol player reflects on the most recent result

 

RCD Espanyol picked up three important points against RCD Mallorca last Saturday, and player Antoniu Roca was immensely pleased with the result. He spoke on Tuesday about the win.

“We had not picked up any points in three games, so playing at home again and winning is a huge joy," he said.

"We dominated the game from start to finish, although we did suffer a bit at the end. We dominated many aspects and it was reflected in the result. A lot of the things that the coach asks of us were shown on the pitch. It is important to see that we can do it and see it come out in the game and the result.”

Roca added that “it is clear that we are strong at home and that it is difficult for opposing sides to hurt us. We took points at home, which is the important thing, thanks to our effort and the support of the fans.”

"I'm happy to add minutes and help the team. Participating in the 1,000th victory was a joy too. Adapting to the Primera División has been easy: “The increased pace is very noticeable, but I feel good thanks to the support of my teammates.”
