Los Pericos triumph in Getafe

RCDE Special won LaLiga Genuine for the third time in their history, on a weekend full of matches held in Getafe.

Leaders, but tied on points with Cádiz and Valencia, they had their fate in their hands and took the opportunity, winning their closing 3 matches.

Saturday started with the big game of the weekend, against Girona. With only a 2-point difference in the standings, they met in a decisive contest, Los Pericos winning 2-0 and taking advantage of dropped points from their direct rivals.

They had two more games left: Against UD Las Palmas and CD Tenerife ADI. The former ended with a 4-0 win, the latter seeing RCD Espanyol come back from behind to win 1-2.

Captain Christian López lifted the trophy once again, in the competition which focuses on inclusivity and opportunity.
