RCD Espanyol to restructure sports management
The club thank the outgoing Rufete and Vicente Moreno for their work and commitment
RCD Espanyol have decided on a series of changes to be made to the sports management of the club.
An agreement has been reached with Francisco Joaquín Pérez, AKA Rufete, in which his role as Sporting Director will not be extended. The club wish to express our appreciation for the work of the former player throughout his time at RCD Espanyol, in which, after a painful relegation, he contributed to the return to the Primera División and consolidation in the top flight.
RCD Espanyol have also decided not to continue with Vicente Moreno as coach of the first team. The club also thank him for the job done by both he and his coaching staff over the past two seasons, in which promotion from the Segunda División and LaLiga survival were achieved.
President Chen Yansheng and the Board of Directors thank everybody for their efforts in achieving the goals set this season, and their commitment to the club in difficult times.
