Puado: "We want to turn this situation around"
The striker looks ahead to the game against Celta Vigo
In the runup to RCD Espanyol's match against Celta Vigo, Javi Puado spoke of the need to put behind them what happened last weekend in Girona and focus on returning to winning ways.
The forward admitted that “we want to turn this situation around. The Girona game was disastrous and we have already said that. So now we really want to be strong at home and show that we are capable of turning this situation around."
"We had a good start to the league season, but there have been games in which we have conceded goals very early. It is something that we have to correct. We will try to be strong at home and win games," he continued.
“Right now isn't a time in which we can be asking anything from the fans. We know that they never let us down, so we hope that they believe in us -because we will get a good result. We are right behind the coach, and the fans are too. Now we want those three points against Celta Vigo."
Regarding his personal situation, with no contract renewal yet signed for next season, he told journalists that “I am calm. I am at home here and playing for the club that have given me the chance to be a professional. The important thing now is the team, that we get back into a good dynamic.”
