Javi Fuego has no doubts that "the team is laying the foundation for a good year"
“It is a handicap because it is a very specific position and we don’t have the players that usually play there. This situation shows us the level this squad has. However, I am sure that we will cover this position with guarantees”, he said.
Javi Fuego also said that it is still early and pointed out that there have been many changes in the team. “Football is results but there are also feelings. There is still a lot of work to do, there have been a lot of new players in and there are many things to do. We are working on it. I understand that people outside can doubt but there aren’t any inside. We are working hard now to try to have a good year”, he said. “Against Málaga we defended well but we received two goals in strategy actions. We have good strikers to win matches but we have to improve. We have to be a solvent team”.
“If we start now talking about necessity the year is going to be very long. We have to be patient. We know the work we are doing, the mistakes we have done and the things we must rectify. If we put us pressure it is going to be difficult. We must keep calm”, he said.
About the different midfielders in the team Javi Fuego said that rivalry is good for the squad. “It is a collective sport. The club has decided to sign different players in that position and the manager has different options to choose”, he said.
