Pedrosa: "We have nine 'finals' left"
The fullback looks at the run-in to the end of the season
RCD Espanyol enjoy a well-deserved week off from LaLiga action this week, having taken a pair of positive results in recent games that have allowed them to think about moving up the table.
Defender Adrià Pedrosa spoke to RCD Espanyol TV from the training ground, and set out the ambitions that he and the team have for the remainder of the campaign.
"The team are motivated. We aren't looking below us, and we are only thinking about moving up the standings. We have a healthy gap to the relegation zone, but we don't care about that. We have teams just a few points above us, and we are thinking about climbing up positions."
Espanyol's next opportunity to do so comes on April 4th, when they take on sixth placed Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena. Pedrosa points out the toughness of the task ahead on Matchday 30.
"We have to look at it as there being nine 'finals' left. A very difficult game is coming up against Real Sociedad, who are a great team, but we are going to fight like we have done on every matchday."
The left back also stated that his team will be keeping nothing in reserve.
"Our plan every week is to beat whoever we face, and we have shown that in many games, such as when we achieved a victory against the league leaders. We set our sights on obtaining victory in each game, regardless of the opponents in front of us."
