Moreno: "We have to get more out of everything we do"
The coach assesses the 2-2 draw with Cádiz
After the 2-2 draw with Cádiz away from home, Vicente Moreno acknowledged that RCD Espanyol had experienced two very different halves, and lamented that “we had chances in the first half to kill the match off, and then, from some specific actions, we gave life to the opposition."
"We didn't kill the game off, and when the result is so close, these things can happen. I can also take away the will of the team to press after receiving a setback like that, and I am going to consider the point as a good one because we had gone behind. But in today's game, due to the number of things we did, we should have resolved it much earlier."
“I can either think that two points have got away from us, or think that we salvaged one in the last move of the game. What I am going to take away is the bitter feeling that the team did many things well. We have to get more out of everything we do."
The coach has indicated that he prefers to focus "on what we did in the first half. The reality is that we have to get more out of performances like this, but we are always trying to improve. We came into this one off a trajectory in which we had been making many mistakes, but we are also able to look up."
