Moreno: "We had our worst game in two years"
The coach gives an honest assessment of the defeat against Rayo Vallecano
RCD Espanyol coach, Vicente Moreno, recognised that the team were not up to standard against Rayo Vallecano in their 0-1 loss at home.
“We had our worst game in these two years that I have been here. When you play a game like we did today, it's because you're not feeling good. Not feeling good takes you away from winning and gives your opponents more of a chance to win. Obviously, this defeat has come as a result. We didn't do enough to win and they deserved the victory. We apologise," he analysed.
“We weren't ourselves. We are a strong team at home and we lacked everything tonight. What happened was that we didn't feel good. It was the worst game that we've had in these two seasons. We've done a lot of things well during the season and it's a shame to have a game like this. These are games that hurt,” he concluded.
