Moreno: "It's a pity not to have taken the three points"
The coach highlights the team's performance against Sevilla
RCD Espanyol coach, Vicente Moreno, spoke after the 1-1 draw with Sevilla at the RCDE Stadium, lamenting his side not having taken the victory against a team second in the LaLiga table.
“We can take away the positives: The team have competed very well and deserved more against both Barça and Sevilla. Sevilla are fighting for the LaLiga title. I think we did some very good things once again, with the support of the fans. When there is that unity, we are a very difficult team to beat," he told the media in his post-match press conference.
"It's a pity not to have taken the three points, and obviously we're not happy. We have to face the situation in this way and keep going."
The coach also pointed out that there is no mental block from the team when it comes to their approach to the final minutes of matches.
“The players work hard and they work well. There are many hours of work that go into games, and sometimes they go well and sometimes not. We pushed hard. In the final part of the game, maybe we should have had more peace of mind, but we didn't. The match had a few minutes when everything turned crazy, because the opposition also had a need for the points," he explained.
