RCD Espanyol Femenino lost 2-1 against Madrid CFF in their latest league game, conceding in the 89th minute when on course for a share of the points.

Sara Monforte's side enjoyed three clear chances during the first 45 minutes. Aparicio, Ainoa and Iara, however, were all unable to find the net.

In the second half, the script was similar, although Espanyol had more difficulty finishing off their positive moves. They finally went ahead at the hour mark, thanks to a header from Ainoa Campo.

The lead lasted barely ten minutes: Madrid equalised just after Lice had missed a chance to double the lead. On the following play, the home team scored through Kamilla Melgard.

In the final stretch, both teams had chances, with the decisive goal coming for Barbara Lopez in the 89th minute.
