RCD Espanyol started their 2024/25 Copa del Rey campaign with a 0-4 win against modest side San Tirso SD, a team that began their journey in the competition in May of this year. Los Pericos were never in danger, and took a comprehensive victory to progress.

The Frenchman persisted and finally managed to get his goal. then Veliz finished off the job with the third and fourth of the evening, scoring his first hat trick for the club.
