Espanyol pick up the French goalkeeper from AS Monaco

RCD Espanyol and AS Monaco FC have reached an agreement to sign Benjamin Lecomte on loan.

Lecomte had an outstanding spell at Lorient (he made his Ligue 1 debut for the club at the age of 19) before making the move to Montpellier. The goalkeeper then continued his career with another of the outstanding teams in French football: AS Monaco. He spent last season in Spain with Atletico Madrid.

An international for France at youth level, he has also been called up to be part of the senior team -albeit without making his debut to date.

The new Espanyol player, who has already passed the relevant medical examination at the Clinica Corachán, will be presented on Thursday, July 14th.
