Keidi Bare: " We are a very good team and we have to prove this in every game"
The midfielder talks to Espanyol TV
After a recent run that has seen the team collect a point from their last three games and bow out of the Copa del Rey, Espanyol are looking to regroup in the international break.
One of the leading figures in the dressing room, Keidi Bare, spoke this week about the mood in the camp.
"We are OK. We are training hard and we are looking forward to the next game. All teams go through tough times, and we will try to turn the situation around. I think we’re doing things right; in football you can’t always win. We always look for the victory, but sometimes things don't work out the way you want them to," he explained.
"We will give one hundred percent in order to win the next matches on the calendar. We have to be aware of the results we are having, but we have already shown that we can beat any team. In the next game, against Athletic Club, we have to go for the win. Football is like life: You don't always feel good. We have lost some games and we must not get dramatic about things."
"We also had some bad times last season, and we achieved our objective. All the players are convinced that we will turn the situation around, and for now we have to start by facing the next game with a positive mentality," the midfielder said.
"We are a very good team, with great players, and we have to prove this in every game. There are no easy matches because both teams at the top and at the bottom can beat you - just like we can beat any team."
"If you don't work hard, then you don't get your reward -and the whole team have the mentality of giving one hundred percent in every training session and match. If you train well, the matches will go well. We are a united dressing room and, besides being good players, we have good people in our squad. When things go wrong we always support each other and that is very important."
