Carlos Clerc said that he is focused and wants to do as best as possible
Caros Clerc played last year on loan for Girona and he was one of the best players of the team. The left defender has started another summer with the aim of convincing Quique Sánchez Flores to stay in the first team.
“I keep working with the team. I am an Espanyol player and I am trying to do my best while I am waiting for decisions. I try not to take any notice about rumors and I am focused in the team. I have to stay focused and do as best as I can do”, he said.
Clerc said that he is used to this type of pre-seasons. “I don’t have any problem. I am working well and the manager treats me in the same way as he does to the rest of the team mates. If I have to go to another team, I will arrive fit”, he said.
The defender said that “my experience playing on loan has been very positive. I have grown as a player, as a person… I have played 44 matches in the Second Division and I have a name in the division”.
Clerc said that “I try to work and enjoy opportunities. There will always be someone that will appreciates what you do. MY first aim is to stay here because is my club, my team, my home… I have been here for 10 years but I also have to think what my best option is and move where they appreciate you”.
