Jurado becomes the third signing
He comes from Watford and he signs for three seasons
José Manuel Jurado Marín (Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz, 1986) has become Espanyol’s third signing for the 2016-2017 season after the agreement reached between the Catalan team and
Watford FC, club to which he belonged from this last season. Jurado is committed to Espanyol for the next three seasons.
Formed in the academy of R. Madrid, he only played one season in the first white team (2005-2006), although his performance led to his transfer to Atlético de Madrid, where he spent three seasons, plus a season on loan to RCD Mallorca.
His good performance with Atlético de Madrid took him on a two year contract with Schalke 04 and later on he signed for three seasons for Spartak Moscow before moving to Watford, coached by Quique Sanchez Flores, last season.
Jurado has achieved a UEFA Europa League (2009-2010) defending the colors of At. Madrid and a German Cup and Super Cup in Germany (2010-2011) with Schalke 04.
The footballer will become officially Espanyol’s player after the medical test conducted privately in the coming hours. His official presentation is scheduled for Tuesday at 13.30 in the auditorium of the RCDE Stadium limited to accredited media access by the club. Fans can give the welcome to the new ‘blanquiazul’ footballer from 13.45 hours.
