"I'm living a dream"
Aaron Martín confesses that his teammates are helping him a lot
He is only 19 years old, but seems to have spent his entire life playing in the First Division. Aaron Martín is one of the great surprises of the season and one of the most regular players of the white and blue team. The defender said that he is living a dream and that he is learning a lot from his teammates.
"I'm only 19 years old. I started the season playing for the second team and now I am in the first team. I am living a dream and it is a year of learning in which I have the opportunity to be with great players", he said. The left winger said that he feels comfortable and confident. "I see myself with the confidence of doing things and I feel relaxed. The fact of having these teammates is an incredible asset for me". Indeed, Aaron has pointed out that the support he has received from the rest of the players since he began training with the first team. "Luckily I have some great teammates, who are supporting me a lot and are giving me a lot of affection," he remarked. The defender says that he tries to isolate himself from compliments and that he only thinks "to do his best and help the team; I do not think of anything else."
Asked about the team, Aarón said that "we have to go game by game and we will see eventually if we come to Europe" and added that he is not surprised by the performance of Espanyol. "Since pre-season it was seen that there was a great atmosphere and that we were going to do a great year", he said.
Finally, he said that it is a joy "that there are some more other players from Espanyol B who are actually playing with the first team" and added that in the future "other colleagues of the second team may have their opportunity too".
