"I really wanted to play again"
Óscar Duarte says that he saw the team well and wanting to do things
Espanyol achieved a draw in the first leg of the Round of 32 of the Copa del Rey, a good result to face the return on December 22 in Cornellà. "I saw the team well, working and wanting to do things. We faced a complicated team, but we knew it was going to be that way and it was reflected in the game. We tried to play our game and we brought a draw", he said.
The centre back stated that the return leg will be different by the proposal of both teams. "It's a team of strength, of struggle... We have the return home and there we will have to impose our game", he said.
In the personal aspect he pointed out that "after almost two months without playing I was very eager. I will continue working hard to be in the line up. I am very happy for the work that David and Diego have done, because it is for the benefit of the team. I'll have to work harder, keep fighting, and at some point, if the coach requires it, I'll be ready for when I get the chance". Duarte, who suffered a dramatic fall in the first part of the game, said: "I feel good. Watching again the reply it was very frightening”.
Finally, on the next game of League against Atletico Madrid, said that he feels "a great respect, because they proved how good they are. They compete very well and they are always a difficult opponent to play against. We are going to try to prepare that game, go the best way and do our job well".
