Higher expectations than in preceding seasons
Víctor Sánchez said that the players are excited to start the season
Víctor Sánchez is one of the most senior players in the team. The midfielder, that in the last years has lived all type of situations, said that he hopes Espanyol can fight for higher goals this season.
“All of us were excited to start the season and do something good. We hope to enjoy more calm this year and get better results and that the team is more regular than in past years”, he said.
Víctor Sánchez said that “last year we did our job that was to stay in the First Division; it was very important. We are thrilled and we are looking forward to start playing. I think we are going to have more ambition and our goal is to be in the best possible position”.
“We players are always looking forward to start training and to fight for the highest goals. People must be encouraged and ready to dream and let’s hope we can give back their support with goals and victories”.
About Quique Sánchez Flores he said that is a manager “that speaks clear and knows what he wants. We have completed four sessions and in the different exercises he tells us what he wants. As days elapse we will know what he wants from us”.
The player also explained that “there have been a few changes in the dressing room in the gym. In the next weeks we will see more details of his ideas”.
