The coach reviews the first preseason friendly

Manolo González expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his team in the first preseason friendly, played against Girona. The coach highlighted the determination his players showed, and stressed that “I want them to do the things that we have been practicing these last few days. For example, in terms of pressing and our work with the ball, the team were daring. That allowed us to break the opposition lines. We will focus on that throughout the season.”

The coach reiterated his desire to improve transitions in attack.

“We had opportunities to kill the game off, but today we also have to blame it a little on fatigue. In some ways, we lacked finesse in our finishing.”

González also pointed out the good adaptation that the young players are showing, commenting that “they are an asset for the club and we have to bear them in mind in case they have to complete the squad. They can be first team players this and next season.”

Finally, he also pointed out that the sports management continues working “on several options for signings.”

“Some have not been able to be completed due to economic reasons. We have had a good dynamic since last year, but we need a large squad and we need to be able to find solutions in games.”
