Garcia makes Olympic squad

The goalkeeper will represent Spain in the Paris games

Joan García has been called up by Spain coach Santi Denia to compete at the Paris Olympic Games football competition, which will be held from July 24th to August 9th. The RCD Espanyol goalkeeper will be one of the country's two shot-stoppers on the Olympic team.

Spain will face Uzbekistan, the Dominican Republic and Egypt in the group stage.

On Wednesday, July 17th, the expedition will travel to Bordeaux (France) to play, on the 18th, a preparation match against the United States. The next day they will travel to Paris, scene of the first game proper.
