De Tomás: "We will go for the win against Real Madrid"
The striker talks about the challenge of playing the LaLiga leaders
Raúl de Tomás says that he is facing this Saturday's match against Real Madrid with excitement, as RCD Espanyol play the LaLiga leaders on Matchday 34.
The striker commented that the opposition “are always a difficult side to play. They might make rotations, but they have a great squad. I think that if we play like we did against Atletico Madrid, have many chances to win: That has to be the idea."
RDT insisted in his press conference that the team will go out to win.
“We are going to play against the best team in the league. We are going to go for the win; although any result that is not losing can be considered positive, we are going for the three points," he declared.
"On a personal level, I'm highly motivated, since I have never played at the Santiago Bernabéu before. Last week we were not up to the task at home against Rayo Vallecano. It was a bad game and there has been a lot of talk about that game, but the season is going well. There are five matchdays left and we want to reach our target as soon as possible."
Finally asked about the pressure on the team, the striker said that “The demand from the fans must always exist and we understand it. We want to finish the season in the best possible way."
