Cheddira: "We must focus on LaLiga now"

The forward turns his attentions to the game against Getafe

Walid Cheddira knows that RCD Espanyol must learn from their Copa del Rey elimination from earlier this week, and said on Thursday that the team are focused on making amends against Getafe.

“We must think about LaLiga now, and forget about the Copa del Rey. The most important match is the one we have now, and we are focused on that.”

“Every day, in training, we work hard thinking about the next match, and against Getafe we want to perform like we did against Celta.”

He also insisted on not looking at the standings or the statistics of the opponents, and pointed out that “it will be as difficult as the rest of the matches, but we have to make the effort to score one more goal than the opponent to win.”

“We have to be level-headed, knowing that Getafe will be difficult opponents, but we have to be calm, play our game and do better than the opponents to be able to win.”
