Víctor Sánchez said that the club and him will try to arrive to an understanding for his renewal
Víctor Sánchez considers closed the episode of statements linked to his renewal for Espanyol and he said that he hopes to achieve an agreement and stay a lot of years here. The Catalan midfielder said that he has spoken to Ramon Robert, CEO, in past days and said that “everything is solved. We will talk privately as it has to be and we hope to achieve an agreement”.
“I don’t like what has happened. I don’t like to be on the news. I said that because there was a week without competition and I didn’t think it would affect the group and for that reason we have to keep talking privately”.
“I had my reasons and I have explained to Ramón Robert. We will gather in the future to talk. I know it wasn’t the way of doing it but for me it is a closed case. There won’t be any more problems. We will take on privately. I have a good relationship with him and as I am one of the captains I speak to him frequently so there will be no change”.
Víctor Sánchez said that “we will find a solution. The two parts want to reach an agreement. We haven’t understood us yet but everybody knows I want to stay here. I hope to arrive to an agreement and remain here a long time. I am very grateful to Espanyol for everything they have given me”.
“Alavés wil be a difficult rival, very strong in their ground. They have changed nearly all the team respect last year and we will have to play intense to try to win”.
