Cabrera: "We will continue competing until the end"
The defender says expectations remain high in the closing stages of the season
RCD Espanyol defender Leandro Cabrera wants to put an end to the run of results that the team have been on in recent matchdays. The defender gave a press conference this week, in which he said that "we are working to achieve a victory this weekend, and I am convinced that we can confirm safety mathematically in this game. We are on a losing streak, but we mustn't relax and instead turn it around with hard work."
Los Pericos play Osasuna at home on Monday, with a quartet of games remaining in the campaign.
Cabrera stated that “we will continue competing until the end. There are four games left and we want to show our level, not only to get the points but also to get our fans behind us. We are aware that how we end this season is what we will pick up from next season. We want to have a good finish and for people to see that we respect this shirt and this club."
He also underlined that coach Vicente Moreno “has not lowered the level of demand one iota. He brought us back to LaLiga and we have had a great season at home. It is clear that we have things to improve and that there is room to do so."
