Blanco: "We have had a non-stop 48 hours"
The caretaker coach reflects on the draw with Valencia CF
Interim coach Luis Blanco was satisfied with the team's performance against Valencia CF, stating that “I wanted to win, but since yesterday it has been a day of many emotions. It was very difficult to disconnect. We have had a non-stop 48 hours. I'm happy. I would have liked everything to have turned out better than it did, but I'm not unhappy."
He has also said that “I took things as if I were in charge of the B team. I noticed the difference when it came to giving instructions from the dugout, but I felt very comfortable."
As for the younger players that he brought in for the occasion, he commented that "they have to earn it and for me they have merited the possibility of being able to show what they can do."
Regarding his intentions for the last week of the season, Blanco indicated that “I would like to see a better team in terms of attack. I like more attacking teams, but I had a day to prepare for this match. I would like to better convey that idea to the team. Now I have a week in which to work ahead of the game in Granada. What the players have told me is that they want to absorb what I tell them, and I hope that this week we will see a change. I'm going to try to win and I don't care about the opposition's situation. I'm going to try to treat it as if it were the first league game of the season."
