RCD Espanyol break the 3,000 point mark

The victory against Rayo Vallecano was RCD Espanyol's first of the season, and also allowed the club to reach a new historic milestone. They moved past 3,000 points in their history, up to 3,002, and became the seventh LALIGA team to reach this figure.

The very first point was achieved in the opening game of the 1929/30 season, beating Real Unión de Irún on February 10th, 1929. The 1,000th point came with a victory against UD Las Palmas on February 10th, 1973, and the 2,000th point celebrated with a victory against Valencia on Noember 4th, 2000.
