Aguado: "We are looking forward to competing again"
The midfielder previews the return to action
After three weeks without a LALIGA match, due to different circumstances, RCD Espanyol are back in action this Saturday. Speaking before the derby against Girona, Álvaro Aguado commented on this situation.
“We have stopped for a week longer than the rest of the teams due to the postponement of our game against Valencia. We are looking forward to competing again," he told the media on Wednesday.
"This time off has helped to consolidate concepts that we hadn't been mastering, but we are looking forward to the match on Saturday, because we have an exciting month and a half ahead -in which we have to try to get as many points as possible to end the year well,” he stressed.
Aguado warned that the match against Girona will be a difficult one.
“They have had a very good season, but we will try to hurt them. We will try to get the three points. If we win, we will get out of the relegation zone, but the season is very long and I personally am not looking at the standings. We know that we are in a difficult situation and that we will be fighting until the end to be able to stay up -and we will achieve it. In this month and a half we can turn things around."
