5-0: Five star Femení
RCD Espanyol Femení demolish Madrid CFF B in a perfect afternoon at the Dani Jarque
RCD Espanyol Femení cruised to an emphatic 5-0 win over Madrid CFF B on Saturday.
The pericas were clear on what they needed to do at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque, and inside 10 minutes they were 2-0 up. First Judit Pablos put it on a plate for Ángeles del Álamo to tap in, then Lice Chamorro rounded the goalkeeper and finished off to put Espanyol in firm control early on.
That was not to say that Madrid B were out of it, and they were denied by a strong save from Emily Dolan before Lucía Vallejo cleared the rebound off the line. The hosts did not want to take any more risks, and minutes before the break they extended their lead to three with Lice’s second of the game.
Into the second half and Espanyol were not easing up, and it was the combination of Lice and Judit Pablos again that resulted in the fourth goal, the forward setting up Pablos to slide it home. The fifth and final goal came just two minutes later on the break, as Mar Torras remained composed and beat the keeper to put the game beyond doubt.
A 5-0 result was deserved for a dominant performance by Espanyol, who are four points off the top of the league and, with two games to play, now guaranteed to finish in the top three.
