18 countries, one Espanyol 1900 Tournament
The second edition of RCD Espanyol's special tournament took place over Easter
One of the major sporting events of Easter Week was the second edition of the Espanyol 1900 Tournament, which was held at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque from 29th-31st March.
Sixty football teams participated, which included six international academies and five RCD Espanyol international academy schools. In total, 655 male and female players took part in the tournament from 18 different countries in a vibrant atmosphere full of emotion.
The 7-a-side tournament consisted of a qualifying stage on Friday and Saturday, and a final phase at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque on Sunday. Each team played a minimum of five games in this format with two halves of 15 minutes each.
The Espanyol 1900 Tournament is the largest open tournament in Barcelona that is held during Easter Week. This tournament combines the passion for football with vibrant competition in world-class facilities, where players were able to enjoy days full of sport, fair play and the powerful Espanyol feeling.
