Travelling to the capital with the aim of achieving another victory after the last home draw, Espanyol once again found themselves warranting more than they were getting. The first half was even but decided in favour of the hosts as they opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark.
It was time for a comeback for Adrián González's team, and at half-time, the coach brought on María Lara and academy player Aina Torres in search of the equaliser. And so it came: in the 55th minute, Mar Torras made it 1-1, giving justice to the team’s hard and levelling it up in Madrid.
Despite several attempts in search of the winning goal from the travelling pericas, Madrid B managed to hold on to the result and, giving a point for Espanyol in the fight for promotion. It is now time to take advantage of the Christmas break to recharge our batteries and prepare for the first game of 2024 at home to Deportivo Alavés.
