RCD Espanyol Femení play out a goalless draw with Alavés Femenino

RCD Espanyol Femení played out a 0-0 draw away to Alavés Femenino on Saturday.

Juan Ignacio Ibarra's team travelled to Vitoria with the aim of returning to winning ways, back on the road and into the final stretch of the season. Ángeles del Álamo had two on two occasions and Mar Torras with another clear chance to put the team ahead before the break, while the hosts looked dangerous from set pieces.

The second half was similar to the first. Alavés created danger from set pieces and Espanyol took advantage those dead ball situations and on the counter attack, though they could not break the deadlock.

Espanyol had a huge chance to win it in stoppage time, but the home goalkeeper got to it to keep it goalless at the final whistle. In the end the result did not change and both teams had to settle for one point.
