“We want to keep improving”
Darder assures the press that “we’re here to win, and to finish top of the group. That’s our aim”
Sergi Darder is clear that the team has to keep improving every day. Therefore, he says, the team will treat this Thursday’s game against Ferencvaros, the fifth and final game in the Group Stage of the UEFA Europa League, “as if it were our last. We´re here to win, to top the group and to keep improving”.
The central midfielder makes a point of separating the two competitions. “When we play in Europe, we don´t worry about the league”, he says, and reiterates that “we´ve come here to win and we will do everything to do that and to finish top of the group. That´s our aim”.
Continuing, he insists that “the priority is always the next game. We have to be prepared to play a game every three or four days. Every game is important. Right now, the priority is tomorrow. If we win tomorrow, we can take confidence from that into our league games. The reality is, we have a game tomorrow and we can’t look any further than that”.
