“We must motivate the fans”
Luis Miguel Ramis wants to focus all his effort to get the win on Saturday against CD Mirandés
Luis Miguel Ramis wants to focus all his effort on Saturday’s meeting with CD Mirandés in order to get the three points.
RCD Espanyol take on Mirandés at the Stage Front Stadium in search of the three points, which the men’s first team coach knows is imperative in the chase for automatic promotion come the end of the season.
Ramis said, “I'm really looking forward to it, I have no doubt in what we want. I do feel frustration and anger for what we have ever seen. The answer to this is work, work, work. We must not let our heads drop, we are the ones who have to look ourselves in the mirror again and that's how we have to feel. This makes us strong and the players are aware of that”.
While Espanyol have struggled away from home, it is at the Temple where their best results have come. They have the joint-second strongest home record in LALIGA Hypermotion, with great credit owed to the Espanyol fans who have been there for the team all throughout the campaign.
Ramis continued, “We all have in mind what our objective is. The changing room has a message from day one and we are very clear about this. I'm not one to send pessimistic messages. We are not infinitely superior to others, but we have the quality to achieve our goal. Now we have to think about collecting the next three points and then the next game, and the next… we are convinced of where we have to go”.
The Catalan coach concluded by saying, “At home we show symptoms of a certain power for a few minutes. That doesn't happen away from home. The players know, as professionals, the importance of this Club for them and they don't want to waste it. They want to return the Club to its rightful division, we all want to get promoted”.
