“We must do our work”
Óscar Duarte said that Real Madrid is a very powerful team
The match against R. Madrid will be a good test for RCD Espanyol’s defence. Óscar Duarte, one of the players that have had more minutes in the first fixtures, said that the white and blue team has to focus in its options and pointed out that Zinedine Zidane’s team is very dangerous.
“We must do our work; we must go for the match as we have done all the season and try to improve. We must think in what they can do as a team. They are very good individually, but we have to think in global and see how we can face them. Real Madrid is a great team”, he said.
Óscar Duarte said that the team mentality has changed. “We have had a different mentality since we started. We have done things well, we have seen a best Espanyol and we have to intensify those aspects to be a solid team”, he said. The defender said that “we have been close to win in the last two matches, but we lost the points in the final minutes. It is important to win and we work all week to achieve it. Let’s hope we can win and we can give another step”
Óscar Duarte said that the team has improved a lot and that the new signings have helped to do a better team. “That takes you to demand you more. I think we will be more solid and from them we will have tranquility. If we are strong in defence, we will be better as a team”.
