“We have to fight and work hard”
Keidi Bare reflects on 100 appearances for RCD Espanyol and the trip to SD Eibar on Saturday
Keidi Bare is keen to end the team’s barren away form when they travel to SD Eibar on Saturday.
RCD Espanyol come off the back of a commanding win against CD Mirandés at the Stage Front Stadium, but now face a tough trip to Ipurúa against the side ahead of them in the LALIGA Hypermotion table.
Bare said, “At home we are very strong, we feel better and we have to change our bad away streak. I prefer to say bad away streak so as not to use other words, but we have to fight and work hard to achieve the same streak of results that we have at home. It is an important game and we must win to put ourselves in direct promotion”.
This month saw the Albanian make his 100th appearance for Espanyol, a landmark achievement for our number eight. However, the ultimate goal remains promotion back to the first division come June.
Bare said, “I am very happy to have played 100 games in the Espanyol shirt, we have to fight every day in every training session. We have to fight until the end to achieve our goals. Whoever wins will be mentally stronger. We have been out of those places for months and for us it is an opportunity away from home to find our way to promotion”.
